Opportunity Overview

Restoration Bible Institute (RBI) was established in 1999 as a ministry to help impoverished, at-risk youth in remote areas of Myanmar.  Due to poverty, these children are considered second-class citizens.  As a result, they are denied good education and vocational training.  RBI exists to minister to these youth through schooling and vocational training based on Biblical principles.

RBI provides two tracks of education.  The first is a ministry school which trains preachers and teachers for ministry service.  The second track is vocational training, focused on computer skills, music, electronics, nurses aid, and English.  RBI believes that training in these two areas will equip youth to become witnesses for Christ in the workplace and become leaders in their homes and villages.  There are currently over 150 graduates from RBI and many are serving in churches and some as missionaries in non-Christian areas of Myanmar.

Mount Pleasant will be working with RBI to host a training conference, hold community events and partner with local churches to have outreach opportunities. This will be an unforgettable opportunity to make an impact in Myanmar.
