Join this MPCC team as we travel to visit our Mission Partner in Egypt, Christian Arabic Services (CAS). CAS ministers in Arabic-speaking countries. They plant churches, provide education, have feeding and benevolence programs and are actively sharing the gospel in Egypt.

CAS was founded in 1983 by Safaa and Mona and a group of professors from Cincinnati Christian Seminary. Since their inception they have grown from 1 church to over 700 churches. In Egypt, CAS is actively ministering to refugees from Sudan, Syria and Iraq who are being fed and clothed and hearing the gospel! Our team will have the opportunity to visit several of the church plants and worship alongside the members. Our primary goal will be to show love and support to our mission partner and their team!

While visiting Cairo we will have the opportunity to visit some of the wonders of the world; Sphinx, Grand Museum & Bazaar.

Requirements

Prerequisites

  1. Complete online application: Trip Deposit required
  2. Complete and submit all required paperwork, including passport and visa, by deadline.
  3. Valid Passport – the expiration date on your passport MUST be 6 months beyond the return date of the trip. If a visa is required, your passport must have available visa pages.
  4. Immunizations: Mount Pleasant supports the recommendations of the CDC (The Center for Disease Control). Please consult the CDC website at cdc.gov as well as your family physician.

Responsibilities

  1. Meet all paperwork and trip cost deadlines.
  2. Review trip policies and procedures.
  3. Adhere to the Team Member Covenant at all times.
  4. Attend all team meetings, including debrief.
  5. NOTE: trip cost does not include: meals in transit, souvenirs, passport, applicable vaccinations.

Restrictions

  1. You must be 18 years or older or accompanied by a parent.

Preparation

  1. Pray!
  2. Review Fundraising Guide and begin fundraising.
  3. Submit payment(s), a copy of your passport photo page, and all paperwork by deadlines.
  4. Mark required meetings on your calendar.
  5. Start the process of obtaining or renewing passport, if necessary.
  6. Obtain immunizations and medications as advised by your Doctor.
