Egypt: Christian Arabic Services: Partner Visit
They were founded in 1983 by Safaa and Mona and a group of professors from Cincinnati Christian Seminary and have grown from 1 church to 560+ churches. In Egypt, CAS is actively ministering to refugees from Sudan, Syria and Iraq who are being fed and clothed and hearing the gospel! Our team will have the opportunity to visit several of the church plants and worship alongside the members. Our primary goal will be to show love and support to our missionaries and their team!
While visiting Cairo we will have the opportunity to visit the Sphinx, Grand Museum, Civilization Museum, Citadel, the dump and the Cave Church. While in Luxor, we will have a day on the East Bank and a day on the West Bank. This will include Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut Mortuary Temple, Karnak & Luxor temples.

By this meeting we're really starting to feel like a team! Once again, we'll share in devotion and prayer, discuss cultural awareness, prepare a personal testimony, review logistics (field logistics, and do's/don'ts/no-no's), have questions answered, collect paperwork and/or funds. This is 60 days before the team leaves. Passport photo should be turned in if it hasn't been already, required paperwork could be executed and returned, and your funding should be close to fully raised.

This is our final team meeting before headed to the mission field. We will spend time reviewing final itineraries and logistics and much more. This meeting could include an opportunity for your team to prayed over and commissioned in our weekend worship service but those details will be communicated separately. Debrief Gathering Required
Our team will gather post trip for a chance to reconnect and share. We'll also have the chance to give some feedback from our trip experience. We'll also share resources that are meant to equip you to share your mission experience and continue to live missional in your daily relationships and life.
Requirements
Prerequisites
- Complete online application: Trip Deposit required
- Complete and submit all required paperwork, including passport and visa, by deadline.
- Valid Passport – the expiration date on your passport MUST be 6 months beyond the return date of the trip. If a visa is required, your passport must have available visa pages.
- Immunizations: Mount Pleasant supports the recommendations of the CDC (The Center for Disease Control). Please consult the CDC website at cdc.gov as well as your family physician.
Responsibilities
- Meet all paperwork and trip cost deadlines.
- Review trip policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the Team Member Covenant at all times.
- Attend all team meetings, including debrief.
- NOTE: trip cost does not include: meals in transit, souvenirs, passport, applicable vaccinations.
Preparation
- Pray!
- Review Fundraising Guide and begin fundraising.
- Submit payment(s), a copy of your passport photo page, and all paperwork by deadlines.
- Mark required meetings on your calendar.
- Start the process of obtaining or renewing passport, if necessary.
- Obtain immunizations and medications as advised by your Doctor.
